Join us at the 2026 Aon New Zealand Pool Rescue Championships
Aon is proud to return to Albany, Auckland, as naming rights partner of the 2026 Aon New Zealand Pool Rescue Championships, taking place at the Sir Owen Glenn National Aquatic Centre from Friday 2 – Sunday 4 October.
Across three action-packed days, hundreds of athletes from clubs across the motu will put their lifesaving skills to the test in simulated rescue events, demonstrating the speed, strength, confidence and resilience needed ahead of the 2026–2027 summer patrol season. This event is a showcase of the training, teamwork and dedication that sits behind every patrol season, and is a reminder of the vital role surf lifeguards play in protecting New Zealanders who swim at beaches every summer.
Aon will be onsite throughout the championships to connect with athletes, volunteers, supporters and the wider surf lifesaving community. If you’re attending, we’d love you to come and visit us – a complimentary BBQ and ice creams will be on offer!

Aon celebrates another unforgettable New Zealand Surf Life Saving Championships
This year, Ōhope Beach set the stage for four incredible days of racing, teamwork and community spirit as nearly 1,400 athletes from 46 surf lifesaving clubs competed at the 2026 Aon New Zealand Surf Life Saving Championships. From beach sprints and surf boat races to iron-person events and relays, more than 130 national titles were decided, showcasing the skill, resilience and dedication at the heart of surf lifesaving in Aotearoa.
As naming rights partner for the second year running, Aon was proud to stand alongside Surf Life Saving New Zealand and help bring the beach experience to life through the Aon Hub and Better Decisions beach pop-up. Our partnership reflects a shared commitment to helping people and communities make better decisions - whether on the sand, in the surf, or in business.
